Most bachelorette weekends on the Grand Strand go wrong in the same two places. The group books accommodation before it books transportation, and it plans Saturday night without planning how Saturday night ends.

Pick your base first, because it decides everything else
The Grand Strand is long. Where the group sleeps decides how far it travels every night, and that is the single biggest cost driver in the weekend.
Myrtle Beach puts you closest to Broadway at the Beach and the Ocean Boulevard strip. Best for a larger group that wants variety and a late night.
Murrells Inlet puts you on top of the MarshWalk, which is the single best concentration of bars and live music on the Strand and the reason most bachelorette groups come here at all.
Pawleys Island is the quieter choice, and increasingly the popular one for groups who want a beach house rather than a hotel. It is twelve minutes from the MarshWalk and about half an hour from Myrtle Beach, which is close enough for both without being in the middle of either.
Friday night: the MarshWalk
The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is a half-mile boardwalk with the bars lined up along it, which means you walk between them rather than driving. Wicked Tuna, Dead Dog Saloon and Bubba’s Love Shak are the usual three, and most groups end up doing all of them without planning to.
Eat first. The MarshWalk restaurants fill from about six, and a group of twelve without a reservation on a Friday in season is going to wait. Book the table before you book anything else about the evening.
The parking is the part people underestimate. On a summer Friday the MarshWalk lots fill early, and a group arriving in three cars will not park together. That is the whole argument for one vehicle: you arrive together, you leave together, and nobody spends twenty minutes circling.
Saturday: the day is the part people forget to plan
Saturday night looks after itself. Saturday daytime is where weekends drift, and a group with nothing booked until eight in the evening tends to lose the day to a supermarket run and a debate about lunch.
Three options that work, depending on the group.
Brunch and the beach. The simplest version. LOCAL in the Hammock Shops at Pawleys Island serves brunch six days a week, and the Hammock Shops themselves are a reasonable hour of browsing afterwards. Then the afternoon is free.
A downtown Charleston day trip. About an hour and fifty minutes each way, and the right answer for a group that would rather do one thing properly than six bars badly. The Battery, King Street, lunch somewhere good, back in time to change. This one only works as a booked vehicle for the day, because the drive is long enough that rideshare economics stop making sense entirely.
A boat or a beach day with a proper dinner at the end. Frank’s Restaurant and Frank’s Outback in Pawleys Island has been open since 1988 and is the right call when the group wants one nice meal in the weekend rather than three average ones.
Saturday night: Broadway at the Beach or back to the MarshWalk
Broadway at the Beach is the bigger night. More venues, more people, later, and better suited to a group of twenty than a group of eight. It is also the harder one to park at and the worst place on the Strand to try to get a rideshare at one in the morning, which is when the whole group needs to move at once.
The MarshWalk repeats well. Groups who did Friday there often go back, because the walk-between-bars format means nobody has to make a decision at eleven at night.
Either way, the vehicle should be booked for the whole night rather than each leg. It waits between stops, it moves when you move, and the last run of the night is already arranged. Sizing the group properly
The honest advice is to size up rather than down. Our vehicles carry from fourteen to thirty depending on which one goes out, and a bus at capacity is a shuttle while a bus with room in it is a party. The difference between those two things is usually one vehicle size and a smaller amount of money than people expect.
Two other things worth saying when you book. Tell us if the group is arriving from more than one hotel, because we will sequence the pickups rather than making everybody gather in one lobby. - Saturday dinner, because that is the reservation that gets hard
- Everything else
Two to three months out is enough for most summer weekends. Longer if the weekend falls on a festival weekend or a peak wedding Saturday, because the same vehicles serve all three and the calendar does not care which one you are.
